Question
Am I too old at to start a degree in law? I am married with kids ampneed to know if I am being realistic?
I left school when I was and worked on farms for years and waitressed for year. I then married an engineer amp became a stay at home mum. I own my home amp car amp live in a popular middleclass suburb. I have no worries about finance or finding the time to study. However, I am really unsure about going to uni to study law because of my age, lack of work experience and lack of education. Am I being realistic?
Answer
Too old? NO!brbrUniversities often take in students as quotmature age entrantsquot and entry is on the basis of work and other education.brbrThere are some suggestions I would make. Find a course you can do NOW or starting soon. This could be High school graduation certificate, a course in paralegal studies or something like that. Volunteer to do some work for a charity organisation that helps people with legal problems and get some experience.brbrDo these things and it will help you ease into study and confirm to you and others that you have the ability and time to suceed. It will give you insight into the legal profession and confirm or otherwise that it is really the career for you. The experience and study will go a long way to show your suitability for a university placement and help you succeed in applying.brbrRemember quotin all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your pathsquot and quotthe steps of a good person are ordered by the LORDquot. Trust Him and He will help you make good decisions, He loves you and wants what is best for you!
